Default Digital servo for steering on a tq3

Do I need to have end points on my steering channel to run a HS-7955TG?

You can probably get away without it, but with a servo like that they're just about needed. When you get it installed check and make sure the knuckles don't bottom out on either side or you will damage something later on down the road. I switched radios because for some reason I had an issue where it was easy for me to knock the trim settings off with the way the knobs are on the TQ3. If you accidentally bump that steering trim and don't notice it before you turn the wheel there's another easy chance for that servo to break something, or burn the servo itself up.
