Looks like a nice radio might even wana consider a Traxxas Tq3 you can fin em on the bay for less then $30.00

Or you can get an Air Frequency Radio and get all the airplane guy pissed off for some reason they dont like when ppl say they are using those radios for crawling lol something about UFO droping from the sky

that'll work if you have no intension of wanting the use of a 3rd channel for independent rear steer.for the same price (minus servo)which you'll want a higher torque servo any way.unless this is for a stock tlt which stock standard servos can handle.check this out http://www.thecrawlerstore.com/

The Futaba servo has plastic gears and puts out 90oz or torque. Something like the Hitec HS-645MG has metal gears and puts out 133oz. Those are the ratings at 6V. You could probably make due with 90oz, but the plastic gears will kill you.

Don't let a servo determine what radio you buy. Find a radio that is comfy in your hand and is balanced well (you will thank me for that after an hour of crawling), and is going to work with what you are doing. For crawling AM is not that bad. You are close to the truck so you most likely not have a problem.

Even if you aren't going for rear steer right away, try to find a 3 channel. It will be a lot nicer later, you won't have to buy another radio, just another reciever for that second truck.

As far as servos, look around this sight. All the info you will ever want is here. Try to get at least 120 oz. at 6.0v, get metal gears, and don't worry about speed.

Buying a radio because of the servo will only serve to disappoint you. You won't like the radio that much and in crawling you are going to kill the servos in time. Look at them as two seperate purchases, like the motor and the speed control.
