Default Wheel Speed - NimH vs Lipo

I plan on switching from the 8.4v NiMh saddle pack that I currently use to a 11.1v 3s Lipo. I run a MM esc w/CC BEC and dual 55t Integy motors.

Will I notice a significant difference in wheel speed when making the switch?

All setting parameter's will remain the same. Only difference will be switching batteries.....nimh to Lipo..... and increasing the voltage.... and of course activating the lipo cutoff.

Thanks.

And then you will become addicted to wheel speed.

And then you will buy 35 turn motors like everyone else!

I was hoping a pair of 45t Banzai's might satisfy after the fact.

11.1 volts lipo and 35 turn motors are the golden ticket. PLENTY of wheel speed and will have more then enough torque.

I have gone from a 55 then 45 and now a 35 all with a Mamba on 7 cell and 6 cell nimh 1500 saddle packs. Today I just recieved 2 CKRC 1500 3 cell 11.1 lipos and my 35 integy went from a 4 cylinder to a V8 The only thing I can say is WOW. I also have to say that CKRC is awsome to deal with I spent 64$ for 2 batterys on friday and they were in my mail box today

So I really need to skip over 45t and just jump to 35t?

I ran a single 65t and then put a 35t in my AX-10 and liked it quite a bit. But that was still on NiMH.

It's good to know I can get a little more wheel speed by just switching to 11.1v Lipo though.

Thanks for the advice fella's.
