Default wierd throttle issue?

I have a Venom Creeper with a Traxxus XL-5 ESC, Integy 55t and a TQ3. I just started using it last night and it seems that sometimes you pull the trigger for the throttle and it doesn't respond at all. You can keep it full throttle and it won't do anything until you release it and give it another pull. I have tried to set it up per the Traxxus programming instructions. It doesn't happen everytime I pull the trigger but often enough for it to be an issue.

Any help would be appreciated. Im very new to this and its my first RC.

Thanks
David

When the light comes on with your ESC and you pull the trigger to make the truck go forward, does the light turn red or green? If it turns red, then you have your motor wires backward. This ESC has a built in delay for reverse (meaning to go from forward to reverse, you have to push the trigger twice) and this might be your issue if the polarity of your motor is reversed.

X2

You'll need to reverse your radio setting and reverse your motor wires.

Ok, I set the servo switches as the instructions say and then reprogrammed the ESC. Now it goes backwards in either position and the blue LED is lit on the motor. Does anyone have a picture of the Integy motor soldered up. There are 4 terminals and it looks like the + is on the side I have the red wire on.....

Glad you got it worked out.

BTW, don't trust that Integy company to get anything right!
