Default set up for my ax-10?

i just got a ax-10 today and i have a traxxas radio set up but i need a esc and motor.

the shop had a brushless set up but it looks like brushed is the way to go.
thay have a traxxas xl1 speed control and a axlal 55t 540 motor on order
is this a good set up for my ax-10?

I would suggest the Tekin FX R combo with a 55t motor.

rooster crawler with a novak 55t is a capible starting point and affordible to get ya goin... if you like to spend money then somthing like Tekin FX-R, cobalt 7t puller, and 3s lipo and BEC would be an awesome set up

I like the Novak Goat system, they have lots of wheel speed and are brushless. Not saying anything bad about the other esc's it's just what I like and easy to maintain. I have a slingshot with the Mamba Max, 7T cobalt puller and on 3s lipo and you would most likely need to do some upgrades if you were to go that route.

Agree 100% but I would say get an integy 45t or 35t. It will give you more wheel speed which is great. It won't cost you much more. Unless you can find the $99 deal for the ESC and motor, then snatch that up!
