Default Tq3

Question for all that use tq3's.

I tried my friends rig w/ a tq3 & it seemed to have a really sensitive throttle trigger. It was kinda hard to control cuz it would keep jumping forward w/the slightest touch. IDK what kind of ESC he uses :?

So, my Q is, does the tq3 have that sensitive a trigger?
Would a SR work fine or does it matter?

Thanks

I'll reply for ya. I use a TQ3 with a TR2 esc, 55t lathes and either 10 tooths or 9 tooths. The trigger on mine doesn't seem to be as sensitive as what your talking about. I really believe that sensitivity of the trigger really comes from the motors and gearing. Of course higher dollar controllers can have trigger sensitivity controls, which is cool, but my TQ3 seems to work fine for me. Think about it this way, if the TQ3 is sensitive, then learn to control it, and then controlling a really nice controller will be easy to do.

That's funny, but no.

Thanks for the info.
I want to make my maxx independent 4WS, but I have a JR XS-3 pro.
Don't want to get a TQ3 if I would have less control on the trigger.
Seems it was just the motor & gearing on his truck.
Thanks again

Aloha

mine used to be real touchy and jumpy, but i found out my batteries were almost dead in the radio and part of my antenna was touching the chassis. so in combination with both those, it has the real touchy/jumpy feel to it.. but now that those problems are fixed, it doesn't happen anymore.

It could also be the speed control. Before upgrading my friends speed control to a super rooster it was very jumpy and hard to control as well. He was running a lathe motor and 12t pinion on a tlt. With the new super rooster installed it's as smooth as could be.
