Default BEC set up question

I have this reciever to use with a Duratrax esc and they are both BEC. With both of them having BEC, how should I set this up? Do I use the 4-AA pack that I have for the reciever? What about the on/off switches? I have never had an esc w/ BEC before so I'm a little confused.

Duratrax Intellispeed Auto-Sport Foward/Reverse Esc

What type of crawler are you putting it into? It only has 1amp BEC, so if you want to run 4WS you will need to run a RX pack. Otherwise, hook up everything, without the RX pack and you should be fine.
Never mind, I just noticed that the reciever is only 2ch. Just hook it up without the RX pack and everything should run OK.

Trailerguy, thanks for the quick reply. Is the 4-AA thing a RX pack?

Yes it is, but you'd be better off buying a nice NiMH one so you can recharge it, instead of replacing the AA's. And remember if you use a RX pack, don't turn the switch on the esc to on. You want to leave it off. You'll need an on/off switch between the RX pack and the RX.
