In a Berg I would go with the 35T's I have the RS 21.5 sensored system and it works great. To be brushless it is really smooth but still not as smooth as a brushed setup but its close. If you go sensorless you will need a really slow outrunner maybe 1000kV or less. Slow speed throttle control will be sacrificed. |

Sensorless ESC don't know the rotor position on startup. They have to go through a startup sequence until the rotor is spinning fast enough that they can monitor the back EMF on the phase that is not being powered at any given time. This results in a loss of low speed control. With a sensored motor, the sensors tell the ESC the position of the rotor at all times. This allows the ESC to just apply power to the appropriate phases and gives much better low speed control. ~petev |
