Well I would say the the Spektrum DX3.0 myself. But i personally have been looking at the RC4WD radio receiever combo and I have so far heard alot of good things from people with it. Might be a possibility since it is set up for crawler use. http://www.rc4wdstore.com/2/product_...roducts_id=615 |

You might be able to find a used Spectrum DX3 for under $200. I would avoid the DX3.0 unless you don't need the 3 position 3rd channel. Otherwise save a little more and pickup a DX3R. You can get them in the $260-$280 range if you shop around. I love mine. It's light, easy to program, 30 model memory, and it runs forever on just 4 AA batteries. |

Any benifit from getting a Spektrum DX3.0 over a Futaba 3PM? They seem to be about the same. Spektrum: http://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/D...rodID=SPM20310 Futaba: http://2.4gigahertz.com/systems/futk2020.html So the DX6i will work with the crawler no problem? Can it adjust the throttle curve and things like that? |

I think the 3PM is a better radio than the dx3.0. You can have a 3pos 3rd channel switch (a bit awkward, but better than the DX3.0) really good 4 wheel steer mixing etc. Besides that, the 3PM is a bit cheaper than the DX3.0. Really the 3PM is highly underrated, it's a really nice radio.

I would prefer the Fasst from Futaba, in stead of spectrum. But i dont like the menu on the Pm, so I'd go for the 3PK. I love it, and it does work on boats as well, without any interference.

i run a 3pm...and although the menu kinda sucks...it's REALLY hard to beat for the price, and the glitch free FASST setup is amazing! It's years beyond what my am and fm radio's were!
