Tekin FXR and a handwound 35t or 45t. I run a 35t from holmes and love it but I like alot of wheel speed.

I have determined from all the postings to get the Tekin FXR for the ESC and I will get the combo. Now do I want the 35,45 or 55 turn ?
Thanks

Tekin FSR and a Holmes Hobby 35T on a 3s LiPo. Using a 12/87 gearing, it has just enough wheel speed to lift the front end over ledges, but it's perfectly smooth and controlable at low throttle.

I just installed a 2nd Tekin FXR in my Berg, awesome speed control, tiny footprint, great drag brake, easy to program.....

STANG KILLA SS 05-19-2009 02:08 PM

for me it would be a 45T and a rooster crawler esc.

Is a Holmes Hobby 35T better than the Tekin 35T ? Tower doesn't have the Holmes brand but they seem to have the best prices on the Tekin and the combo.

I would go with either the 35t or 45t. Get it in a handwound too. They sell the FXR and 35t handwound. What batteries you plan on running on it? I personally wouldn't run anything but either a 35t handwound or a holmes puller.

Thanks,

If your getting a losi you will want to go with The tekinn FXR and a 35t Handwound motor."thumbsup" The Losi is geared just a tad bit lower than an Axial so the 35t would be about like running a 40t in an axial. As for classes. We don't have a Novice class per say we all compete together. It really won't matter much though. Its all for fun anway unless you really want to make it to nats. But if you did you wouldn't be asking this question anyway."thumbsup"

My son and I would just like to get into crawling and compete around the Cleburne area .
We are looking forward to meeting all of you .
Thanks

BTW: My son is 11 years old, is there any other young crawlers that compete ?
