Some peeps solder the motor directly to the ESC. I use Deans plugs, it comes in handy to be able to completely remove the motor to clean it.

I use 3.5mm gold plated bullets on all my ESC to motor connections... i just like the wires to be seperate for some damn reason and still have the ease of motor or ESC removal... nothing but deans for the battery connection though

I just put my rooster combo in last week. I just soldered straight from the esc to the motor.

I go direct, but on this, i cant say i find myself taking my motor/ex off my crawler to often so i directly solder them. IMO 4mm bullets would be best, if not then at least 3.5mm...

I use 4mm stuff, that way it plugs right into sidewinder/mamba max.

otherwie I'll use a deans plug, but I'll cut it in half with a hack saw so if the motor is going the wrong way I cn reverse the polarity.
