| Got me stumped....
Alright, here it is.... A friend of mine has the Losi 2.2 that has yet to run more then 1 minute at a time. Here is what it is running... ESC - Havok 3S Motor - Novak 21.5 brushless Battery - 1250mah, 3s, 20c, lipo Steering servo - CS170 Digital Dig servo - CS12mg The truck powers up normally and drives great for 30 seconds then nothing. Sometimes the ESC then flashes uncontrollably for 10 seconds and then nothing. Other times the dig servo freaks out for 10 seconds after the shutdown. Still other times, the whole thing shuts down and flashes the code for a failed thermal sensor. It has been tried with both servos hooked up, just the steering servo, just the dig servo, and with no servos at all. I might be inclined to believe the thermal sensor code if it happened every time but it does not. Any ideas? |

bec???? had this issue in mt rc10t4 race truck. I was running a mamba with a 7955tg servo and the servo would kill the reciever and then it would come back. added a cc bec and no problems since |

| I thought that also, but it still does it with NO servos plugged into the RX.

Have you tried a different ESC? According to this thread over on RCTech, several people have had issues with the Havoc cutting out. Novak is standing behind them but they are having to send them in for an "update". Just a thought . . . . |

Check the Losi thread, too. I thought I read some of the Novak motors aren't designed for 3s Not sure, I am just going to try a Tekin.

http://www.teamnovak.com/products/es..._3s/index.html You might want to check out the setup instructions if you have not already and just make sure everything is setup properly. You can also call Novak and talk to their Technical Support department. The one thing I love about Novak is they stand behind their product 100%. I would just check and make sure that the Lipo cutoff didn't get changed accidently. Good Luck Last edited by treday619; 06-07-2009 at 08:33 PM.

That's a drag...seems like Novak is always asking for speedos to be sent in for "updates" I think the best update would be better components in their products |

The Havoc 3S can handle 3s, but some of the Novak MOTORS are rated for 2s only. I don't pay too much attention to Novak stuff, but that is what some are saying in the Novak thread.

got off the phone with Novak. I guess the regulator for the BEC cooked and that is causing the goofball codes. Typical Novak service, sending a new one and an external BEC. Thanks Novak |

I have always been big on Novak. So much that I bought 2 Goat systems. I didn't realize they were even moving into the realm of 3S just because Novak has always had a 2S limitation. That's why I bought CC. On another note Gerame it is good to hear Novak is taking care of you. If there is one thing you can't complain about is Novak's service

| Everything is updated via the internet/computer these days. Novak needs to get up to date with their stuff if they want to play with Castle and Tekin.
