Default Question about BEC

When using a bec, do you ALWAYS under any/every circumstance have to remove the red wire from the esc? And where the bec plugs into the reciever does it go into the "BAT" slot?

If you are connecting the BEC to the receiver, you have to remove the red wire from the ESC.

The BEC can connect to any spare slot on the receiver - all the "red" pins on all the slots are connected inside the receiver. All the "black" pins are connected together as well.
