| Cordless Drill Motor
has anybody tried using a cordless drill motor? I was playing with a cordless at work and was wondering what would happen if you used its motor for crawling. I looked in the grainger catologue and the claim you can get parts from them for any major power tool.

it would probly be real strong but u would need a lot of cells to run it depending on the drill, some are 18volts.

im using a bosh 7.2 vlt motor that came out of my old drill i have had since 1997 and still going, i think its a 550 as its longer than a 540 motor bags of torqe and long run time nearly 1hr off a 7.2volt 1400mah nicad stick pack which is nearly 2years old, just wished i considerd using the gearbox as well befor i bined it, i have also been toying whith the idea of using a motor out of a childs electric sit and ride 6volt car got a few differont size motors some with fans, but this motor going well so never botherd, perhaps i might use 1 with next truck and see. very happy with drill motor |
