| Jr XR3
I was about to modify a TQ3 that I purchased off ebay for the independant rear steering. Then I remembered something in my Jr XR3 owners manual. It has a 3rd channel setting to the tamiya 3 speed transmission. I did some more reading last night and I think it will work for rear steering. It won't be any more proportional than the TQ3, but its already done and has EPA adjustments. From what the manual said it will be left-center-right or 1st-2nd-3rd. And it will stay in what ever position I set it in and return to center when I want it to. It will be easier to crab steer and I won't have to hold a button. Has anyone else used this radio with this setup?

The xr3 works great. The switch is a little hard on the back of my thumb.

I use the XR3 for rear steer, works great. The thumb rocker is self centering, so you will have to hold it left if you want it to stay left (same with the right position). There is a thread somewhere on here about how to change the 3 channel switch from the A rocker to the B rocker. You have to open up the radio and do a little soldering, but it makes using the rocker a lot easier. I'll try to find the thread.

IF the switcks work the same as the xr3 it sould.the curcuit bourd that the switchs are mo0unted on has 5 wires.the black wire doesn't get moved.basicly what you are doing is placing the wires from 1 switch to the other
