Default FXR waterproofing

I plan to run an FXR in my 1.9 scaler. I also plan to see a lot of water/mud.
I'll probably do as I've done before and stick it in a balloon or seal it up in a box, but I'm wondering if it may have heat issues being sealed up.
I'm not too heavy on the throttle, except on steep stuff, but I am running a 1320mah 3s Lipo owith a 45T.
I debated sticking the tekin in the comper and using the comper's Mamba Max for the scaler. Never had a prob with heat with a BEC on the MM sealed up in my 2.2 scaler... but the Tekin's so tiny!

I will be running a CC BEC as well and a seperate 2s for the winch (if that matters). Should I worry about heat? Don't want to 'de-solder' stuff!

you should have no problems with it sealed in a balloon. mine runs cool never gets hot all. i'm building a scaler too and planning on submerging it so this is what i ordered.

it should fit my esc rx and bec with out a problem. it will fit perfectly between my frame rails to and hopefully look like a fuel cell when done

i figure something like this would work
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMNK6&P=7
or something like these which can double as scale sfifter boots

or you can just go old school water sealing. lol

The black plastic "project boxes" from radio shack work very well and are pretty cheap. Cut a slot out for the wiring and seal it up using either dielctric grease or some silicone around the wiring and a bead between the lid and the box to act as a gasket.

Yeah it probably won't get too warm with a BEC. If you don't want to go to Radio Shack, go to Fred Meyer or Safeway and pick up some plastic gerber baby food containers. they come 2 to a pack and will fit a Mamba Max and BEC and winch control unit perfectly. Just cut a hole in the lid foe the wires, seal it up with silicone and forget about it. My 2.2 scalerbeen running that way for a year now w/no need to reseal.
So ya'll think it'll be OK sealed up on 3s then?
