Default RX/TX Servos?

I'm new here and trying to decide on either the Axial RTC or ARTR and looking at radios. Some say thay do not include servos, what servos or what are they for. I know I need a servo for steering, is that what they are referring to? Also some do include servos sometimes 2, why 2 is it for something other than steering or just an extra if you break the 1st one?

Nitro rc's use a servo for steering and another for throttle that's why some come with 2 servos. Most rx/tx/servo combos do not provide they type of servo you would want as your crawlers steering servo. If it were me I would just get the rx/tx you want and the servo you want seperately.

That was my plan but seeing that some didn't come with any led me to believe that I would need an additional 2 servos plus the 1 for steering. Thanks for clearing this up.

Nope you will be fine with one servo if you plan on only running front steer. Meaning no dig or rear steer.
