You have the slider, which is aight. The holmes hobby is not too expensive, I believe its like 23, then there's the losi insane which is aight. There's also Polson motors if he has any left and motorman is he has any left both those are 35 turn and from what I hear bitchin! I am running the HH and love it, tried both the slider and insane and there fast but nothing special.

I'm looking for something as well. I was going to buy the HH motor, but it looks like they won't be available for quite some time.

This may be 8 weeks out if negotiations go smooth.

I'm leaning towards the Mongoose Crawler system at this point.

FYI if your looking for a Mongoose sytem.
I just picked one up in the For Sale section from "JPH Racing" for $99 new in the box.
He had 4, but I dont know if he has any left now or not.
I havent received it yet, but he says it the 18.5T Crawler system, and is new and untouched.

Good to know, and a good price as well. I am curious as well though what other inexpensive options are out there.

I'm running a losi mini slider motor with a 12t pinion and I think it's great. It's stupid fast, has enough torque, the low speed control is good and it was cheap, around 13 dollars. Good enough for me
