what is the best servo to use for stering? I need something strong that wont break the bank.

"Best" and "Cheap" shouldnt be used in the same sentence together when referring to servos...

You can either spend more than you want, or accept an inferior servo. What is your bidget?

CS-170 TG from Hobbico is a great budget steering servo. 333oz @ 6V, Titanium Gears.
