| 500 mah lipo?
There were a couple guys at the axial WCC last month running little 500 mah lipo's that they said were 40c rated I think. They were really happy with these things they just changed them after every course. Anybody heard of these or better yet know a link where to get them? thanks

I tried 86jeep's buddy's (Spad maybe?) 500 mah pack at the ECC. At that time I was running a 3S 1300 Outrage pack (good stuff). I didn't think it had the same nuts my 1300 had, I stalled it out a couple times all jammed up. Tried his Xcite 1300 and thought it was darn near the same as my Outrage, very close. Then found out 86jeep kicked everyone's butt with a little 500. I've run MaxAmps 860s, and Outrage 800s. You definitely need to pair them up with motors that don't pull too much, or they'll get a little poofy on ya. They just can't dump out the amperage like a little bigger battery can, like an 1100 or 1300 or something like that. |

I run two Fantom 35t's (big com's crazy torque) with a FXR pro and i get around 11-12min run time out of the Xcite 11.1v 500mah packs. Some people say thay will not last over time because there to small but i have been running the same packs for 9 month's now. Just ask around people now that i like to travel so im not sure how many charges or courses thay have seen. I think Xcite is running a big sale now you cant beat $14 to $15 bucks for a 11.1v 500mah battery that has gotten me two wins and two top five's at some of the biggest comp's around.

I have been running them for about a year and have had no problems. I run two Holmes 35t's with a FXR and get the same 11-12 min of run time with the 11.1v 500 mah pack. The difference in these and all the other cheap packs is these are GOOD cells and not under rated cheap cells. Most of the cheap packs are actually higher mah than they say, so they can get the "C" number up. I ran the 500's at Colorado and they got me a Top 5 finish. I don't understand why people are still on the fence about these batteries. Greg (86jeep) and I (SPAD) have proven that they are capable of wins on big motor trucks. In the 5 big events this year I have had 3 top tens and 1 top 5 finish, and Greg has had 2 wins, 2 top 5, and 1 top ten. How much more proof do you need, that these little 500's "DO WORK" and on top of that you can't beat the price. And by the way Greg and I run one battery per course. You don't need to run two of them at the same time. On top of all that Xcite has an insane warranty. Xcite Warranty: "Xcite battery offers a 30 day cash back warranty starting from the day of purchase and a 90 day replacement for defective parts warranty also. We guarantee our products with a 100% no questions asked satisfaction guarantee for 30 days from the date you receive the product. If you are not completely satisfied with our products in 30 days, just send them back for a replacement or your money back minus your shipping charge. Xcite does not pay for the return shipping charge to us but will pay for the replacement to be sent out. If you would like you're money returned, then in 2-3 days after receiving battery, your card will be credited. If your battery experiences any defect for 90 days, then Xcite will replace battery for free and pay shipping" frdtrkguy--I don't know what a BP course is. Sooo I guess pitch in say, I had few 500mah Xcite pack they do work, but if you throttle happy or run places that require ALOTS of wheelspeed.. they will make you think about how to drive. I sold my 500mah to 86jeep and pick up Xcite's bigger 1300mah packs, I love them! plenty of runtime and punch for me. I wish I could kept the 500mah or else I would.

I'm sure the Xcite is a better pack, but at that price of the Zippy's they could be throw away packs after a few charges and still be a good deal.

I see your point on the cost issue. But I am not willing to loose a comp, or not finish a course because my cheap (all be it very cheap) battery dumped. I would rather be confident in my battery. and the price is only $10 difference. you also have to look at the C rating. The cheaper packs under rate the capacity to get a higher C rating. They call a 800mah a 500mah so they can call it a 20c instead of 15c. So you are actually getting a 800 mah 15c battery. That is why they puff so much, and are considered a throw away battery. I am not saying Zippy is a bad battery, they are just not the same quallity as Xcite.

How long does it take to charge these things? I just got three of them, put one on my Hyperion EOS0610I charger and two hours+ later it only took 396ah @.05. Had to do other stuff, haven't got one charged or run it yet.:-(

| It's not your charger. You should be charging at .5 amps not .05 amps.
