| Do i need resistors or capacitors? 55t lathe
Hi there. Been outta the game for a while. Just picked up an Integy 55t Lathe and I'm wondering if i need to solder in some capacitors or resistors or diodes or whatever those things are I see on some motors. I'm Also curious if it matters which 'side' is positive or negative, as its not marked on the can or backing plate. Thanks in advance.

are you running a 2.4ghz? The capacitors are to help with interference from the motor. There should be a square with a + in it on the positive side stamped into the plastic end bell. It can be run either way anyways so it doesn't matter to much. Last edited by Failedabortion; 07-23-2009 at 11:54 AM. |

I run these on my brushed motors: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...1&I=LXBJ87&P=K Are they needed? Probably not on these hig turn, low amp draw motors, but they sure as hell dont hurt... Here's a good "how to" for installing caps: http://www.misbehavin-rc.com/pit-lane/motor/g-motor.asp |

Thanks for the response. I said I've been out of the game a while I'm using a Hitec Lynx FM radio with a Tekin Rebel 2 esc. I currently have a 19TDouble trinity Monsters of touring (only motor i had) in the pede trans, and I dont have any problems (other than being too fast to crawl). I'm gonna try to run this motor without a cap and see how it does.
