Hello,

If i use a 2 speed transmitter and remote for the hilux high lift i know i wont be able to shift gears but will i be able to choose the gear i want to run? ie i want to just run 2nd gear.

for example i have factory traxxas xl5 esc and transmitter from a slash. I want to throw that into the high lift until i can afford the 4 channel.

someone with a high lift can you enlighten this noob?

You can manually lock the trans in any of the 3 gears. I think the instructions will show you how somewhere. If not, jusr use a collar with a set screw to hold the shift shaft in position.
