Default Sidewinder problem?

just put in banebot motors and a sidewinder esc. i did the quick program that is in the book. the problem is when i pull the throttle the truck just sits there and rocks back and forth about a half inch back and forth. reverse does the same thing. the steering works just fine. both motors are turning the same way and if i pick the truck up it still does the same thing. what could be causing this?

is your motor brushed or brushless. make sure the esc is programed correctly. they come set brushless out of the box.

you can program it manually but it takes a while and is a pain. if you do this i would call castle and have them guide you through it.
