| dead battery?????
i just did a slew of cheap (hardware store) upgrades on my venom creeper and i rebuilt my battery pace (6 cell nicd 1800 mah) into a saddle pack to mount on my axles. now when i reconnect everything nothing will work. my esc lights up to tell me there is power and it is reciving signals from my reciver but the servo and the motor dont turn or even make a strain of a noise. a couple of the batterys grounded out on each other as i worked on the new pack but it still reads just over 8 volts on my meter. what did i f-up? i did the battery kinda hokey but i tested all conections as i made them.

Did you unplug stuff from the RX during this work? Make sure it's all plugged back in correctly. The black wire on the RX wires should go to the "outside" of the case. Usually they can be plugged in backwards but simply don't work at all. |

thanks, turned out to be a 2 different things. thanks to charlie because he was right about the wire from the servo to the reciver, backwards. the other problem was one of the two clips coming from the motor. i had pulled it out so it was not connected but it was still in the rubber sleeve so it gave the illusion that it was connected. both of these together made me think total system failure but it turns out it was just two tiny oversights. god i love this forum....
