Default mamba 25

What is the motor size limit? Can it handle a 35T 540 size? I have the castle link so I should be able to set it for a brushed motor and 3s lipo correct?

Should work fine. I run this esc in two of my MRC's. I like how adjustable it is. I think there is a thread about this that says 45T is the highest you can do. So the 35T you have should work fine.

I wouldn't recommend a 540 size brushed motor on the Mamba 25. Every time I tried it the ESC would get hot quickly. You are definitely going to need a CC BEC as well. That will help keep the heat down, but I was pretty sure Castle recommend a 55 turn motor max for the Mamba 25. 45turn or lower turns will start drawing a bunch of amps and heat the little ESC up quickly.

Wouldn't go any lower than a 45t motor....probably stick with a 55t motor myself. They are good speed controls for smaller/lighter rigs (1.9's) but can't handle the lower turn 540 motors to well. For a 2.2 class rig,I'd stick with the Sidewinder,Mamba Max or FXR as they'll handle the higher amp draw.

Hey sorry for the threadjack, but on this same note, can i run a mamba 25 with a 65t motor on 9.6v? i know it can handle the lathe motor but i am not sure how high a voltage it can take with it.
