Default Worth it to upgrade from DX3 to DX3R?

Hello everyone, I am in the process of building a new moa crawler using Bully axles. I am going to use the PunkRc Dig unit and plan on using the third channel switch on my DX3. I have been looking at upgrading to a DX3R due to its improved ergonomics and better 3rd channel switch. What are your thoughts from those who have used both? Thanks in advance, I don't want to waste the extra money on upgrading if the difference is minor and I don't know anyone locally that has the R version to try out. :?

Also, I did look at the 4PK and it just isn't in my budget...

Do the toggle mod on the dx3 and your good to go. There is no benefit on using the 3R. I use a DX3R because i doing like the toggle switch. But the 4PK yes there is but not worth the money to some.

I was in the same boat, but got lucky and traded my mini crawler for a dx3r and cant compain, its an awesome radio, but if you could do that mod, I would just mod it, its pretty dang cool to have a working winch though!

Alright, thanks everyone for your input. I'll probably stick with my DX3 and put the extra $$ towards something else - like upgrading my 3.3 Revo to brushless!
