Underwater driving and 2.4GHz doesn't mix. If your receiver is more than 4" underwater you will probably start losing signal. Must be the high frequency and short wave lengths? Just FYI before you spend too much time trying to seal it.

thanks for the replies ...I'll take Harley's suggestion over a radio box (found that too troublesome) and balloon it + silicone around the balloon + should I use grease to seal the short antenna I use with it ??? I wont be driving under water ...it's for a Formula Off Road beach brushless basher rig ,so it may get wet ... Last edited by TheHeadHunter; 07-28-2009 at 12:06 PM. |

the boat guys around me just spray some corrosion-x then use a reciever balloon. I have also seen some rx's coated with dielectric grease. I have mine in a balloon and then in a radio box. |

I just fill all my electronics with dielectric grease and call it good. I have been doing it for years and driving my scaler like a submarine with no issues. |
