Default Help Needed. New sidewinder/BEC=no go

Just put in a new sidewinder and a CC-BEC and I'm having trouble binding them with the radio. The BEC is plugged into the batt. on the receiver with the red and brown wires only. The ESC has the red wire pulled (at the pin) and in pos.2. The servo is in pos.1.
I'm only using the red a black wire from the ESC on a brused motor. the white one is taped off.
Servo works but I can't seem to mind the ESC. Any clues as to what it might me? Note: The BEC was used but was working before, it only has the red and brown wire, the other was cut off before I got it.

i think the red is the power wire, if so you have no juice to your ESC.

Default Bec

You need to remove the red wire from the ESC to the receiver . The BEC will now carry the power load to the receiver.

My sidewinder took forever to bind to the receiver. Must have done it twenty times. Now it works an any receiver. Try plugging the signal wire back into the reliever from the bec.

Are you trying to bind the TX/RX, or set up the ESC? Two different things.

First, bind the TX/RX with just the BEC and the bind plug in the "bind/bat port and the BEC plugged into the throttle port of the receiver.

Once that is done, make sure the ESC plug wire only has the signal wire (usually white or yellow).

Plug ESC into the Throttle/channel 2 port

Servo goes into steering/channel 1 port

Dig servo goes into AUX/channel 3 port

BEC goes into Bind/Bat port.

Now, plug in the battery and make sure your power switches on the TX and ESC are in the "ON" position.

That should get you close to where you need to be.

I'll give that a try Gereme. Here's my diagram the way I set up from start to finish. I haven't changed anything yet. Does this make any sense?
The brown wire from the ESC goes into the neg. on the receiver port (ch2) and the orange wire goes into the signal side of the same port.
The brown wire from the BEC goes into the neg. on the receiver (batt.) port with the red wire into the pos. side of the same port.

1: Not sure how to plug both ports with one plug. was one of them supposed to be the ESC?

2: Are you saying to use ONLY the signal wire of the ESC (which is orange on my sidewinder) to plug into the ch2 port, and not the other wires at all???

Everything looks good to me. Try reversing your throttle channel on the radio.

I've wired 3 crawlers with the Sidewinder and the CC BEC, All with brushless motors and all with 2.4Ghz systems and never pulled/taped any wires from the CC BEC.
Aren't all 3 of those wires are needed?
The only wire that I ever pulled/taped off is the red wire from the ESC where it goes into the receiver.
If you have a CC Link you may need/want to set the CC BEC to 6v for the servo

Thought I had done that but went back and That was where I was hanging up at. BUT,,,, I'm running a brushed motor, and the ESC is set for brushless. So a friend who's got the castle link is coming over with his laptop to help set things for me. Thanks Jesse, you're a genious.

The diagram I had works perfect now that the sidewinder is set for a "brushed" motor. No glitching at all and it's very smooth and responsive. Mental note: Sidewinders come set for "brushless" motors.
