Default Short Run times

My old CPE servo died and I replace it with a Hobbico CS170 and now run times are a lot shorter. I also added a HRD 3.1 dig with HS645 servo and a CC BEC at about the same time. The battery is a 7 cell 1500 elite that is not very old. Will these servos effect run time that much or do I have another issue? Thanks

You've upped the load on the battery with the servos and the bec (which I am assuming you've raised the voltage with) so yes, your run times will be shorter.

Gear mesh is the same. The bec is set at only 6.2 volts. The dig and bec were on the rig with the old servo, it seems like "big" servo is the cause. The old setup would run for 40 min of hard bound up crawling, now it seems to be about 20min. Thanks for the in put.

I am going to time it on the dx3r and see. Maybe I have just lost my mind, but run times seem way shorter.

You're probably just having more fun.

I forgot something, the gear mesh is good, but I changed from a 14 tooth to a 16 pinon gear. I bet the will hurt run times. The motor runs fairly hot with the 16, its a novak 55 turn. Sorry I forgot about that, but I bet that is a large part of the short run times. Thanks, Ty

Yup, that'd do it.
