| Led control box for a scaler?
I'm planning to add some lights to the scaler I'm working on. Wireing up basic headlights, tail-lights, etc. looks pretty straight forward, but I've seen a few light control box's that give you working brake lights, backup lights, or even turn signals. I don't really need turn signals but brake lights and backup lights would be really sweet. So, who make's a good led control box? I've seen some that were made for drifter's, one that was made for a Baja 5B, etc. and I really have no idea what's good. Ideally I would like to run: headlights tailights working brake lights corner/marker lights working backup lights a few rock lights and a few offroad type lights on the bumper. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks! |

Both rc4wd and 3Racing have light kits like that.. Me too don't wanna run turn signals (I think it looks stuped when the turn signal go on, on every turn of the wheel). It is simply to not conect the wire that goes to the steering servo, voila no turn signals.. In most cases you can run more led's on the suplyed kit, they can then be used as side markers... |

thanks, I'll check those out Has anyone tried this light controller from PunkRC? http://www.punkrc.com/index.php?main...products_id=17 I like that each led is programmable, and the description make's it sound like the brake lights come on when you slow, not only when you stop. |

And, why donīt you make your custom led box using broken servos?. Follow the pics on this thread: http://zonacrawling.com/foros/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1920 Itīs very difficult for me to explain it in english, but I think the pics explain themselves. Here you can see the "custom led box" working: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_N_M32Vvj0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FeBBDLb1TlM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXWp2x2MFBw This way you can run brushless or brushed motors just using an "Y" cable with the trothlechannel to the "led box". Greetings, Carlos. |

I forgot an important Tip: It's necessary to center the pot to work correctly. Better if you change it for 2 2k2 resistors. |
