| Need CC BEC, FXR, SR3000 hookup clarification please!
I just bought a CC BEC to use with my FXR and SR3000 receiver. I understand that I plug the BEC into either the aux or the bat/tel port and wire the power to the ESC. Now which wire do I disconnect? The red(middle) wire from the ESC to the receiver? I don't want to fry anything and I need this ready by tomorrow! Thanks.

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much! I tried searching I swear but just really couldn't find anything with my combination of parts, especially one with a diagram like that. I kept finding ones with CC ESCs. My SCX10 is going to be in a 1:1 car show this Saturday and that's the last thing I needed to do to it. Thanks again. It's painted to match mine and my dad's 54 Chevy 4x4! Thanks again.

No problem, I drew that up for my electronics page on my website. sometimes its easier to just post a pic to get the message accross.

Even though the sr3000 can handle it--I found with the BEC at 7.4 volts it was causing a glitch when I swung the steering servo back and forth. So I ran the power directly to the servo's and used the ESC power for the reciever. I prefer it this way anyways as you are pushing all the voltage from the BEC primarly to the servo's. |

Well everything should be pushing 6.0v, thats all you should need for the servo's to run well. I run a common sense BEC with 6.0v to everything and no glitches or issues.

don't disconnect the red wire from the esc before you bind your radio - I just learnt that a couple of days ago (because the batt socket is needed for the bind plug). you can wire up the BEC but don't connect it to the rx. Then connect the esc up as standard to the receiver to power it, bind it, then you can pull the red wire and plug everything else back in. And just in case, don't cut the red wire, just fold it back and tape it to the others. |

Thanks. My receiver is already bound so hopefully I won't have any issues today. I upgraded to a 3S Lipo and per Tekin's advice, I got the BEC to keep the amps up going to the servo. I just need to get it running properly today! It does work with the built in BEC in the FXR, I just want to be safe with the extra voltage now and also keep the heat out of the ESC.
