Default anybody waterproofing their li-po's?

like the title says has anybody thought about or actually waterproof their li-po's? if so what do you guys do? i've had an idea of literally coating a battery in liquid electrical tape or probably better yet tool dip. i'm building a scaler that will be waterproof, so it only makes sense to have a battery thats waterproof too! i want a maxamps li-fe but the price is a little steep for me right now. so what do you do if anything at all to waterproof your batteries?

Has anyone ever blown up a lipo from just putting it in water? I know the lithium inside the cell will react with moisture anywhere but I've been running the SMC 5000 2c soft cell pack in my scaler, going completely under water and haven't had any problems. Technically the lithium cell is rapped in a foil for shape and form and if wasn't sealed enough at one end the moisture in the air could react with the battery right? just my $.02

The lithium is only available when the battery starts to break down and puff. Then it is volatile. The cells are fine unless the pouch has leaks, but just in case.....

Balloon or condom, with shoe goo or silicon sealant. In fact just a good silicon job on the ends and sides is enough.

So when yall seal the batteries up in a balloon are you leaving the balance tap exposed?

I assume you are but want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding.
