First off contact novak and describe in as much detail (what battery, motor, vehicle, age of controller and all that stuff) what went wrong. They should be able to help you and if it is in warranty perhaps replace or fix it for you. If not they have an exchange program if you look on their website Then go buy a tekin fxr

Hope that helps you mate

did the wires on the cap break off? Ive broke mine off. luckily I noticed before I ran it.
That is my biggest complaint- at least it could be fixed to the esc so it doesnt dangle around, I ziptied it to a spot on my crawler but... it just seems to vunerable to damage the way it is attaced to the esc.

Two Rooster Crawlers, and both are glitchy as all get out... the only common thing I can think of is I soldered Deans on to them, but really? Got a FXR, and everything is much better now... If you got the money, do yourself a favor and look at the FXR... Just my 2 pennies.

They say r/c electronics are powered by a magic smoke and once it gets out.... you can never put it back in.... lol Yeah that does suck we've stopped carrying a lot of novak stuff just cuz we had to keep sending bad esc's into them. Most of the time they say it was a bad mosfet and fix it for free which ain't so bad. But still shouldn't have happened in the first place.

They offer an exchange program for stuff that's out of warranty, it's on their website too.

My Rooster Crawler went poof - no fault of Novak - the person using it (who will remain nameless at this point) was tossing 3 cells into it - what an idiot for not reading the CLEAR instructions!!!

I've run a rooster for the last 5 months and no problems.

I'm not a Novak fan boy, it's what they had in stock when I upgraded my RTR, but for every rooster up in smoke thread I've read there has been 5 fxr up in smoke threads

I have a rooster crawler in two of my rigs, both scalers, and they work fine on 6 cells or 2s.

I did toast one running 8 cells on it, but that was my fault. Other than the one I killed, they have worked fine. I have novak stuff in my other racing RC's and they have been great.

I run a mamba now in my comp rig, so no worries.
