Default Inexpensive ESC with drag brake???

I was just curious, whats a good inexpensive ESC for use with a crawler motor that has a good drag brake??? I'm looking for something for my CC-01 trail rig, thanks in advance...
Oh, I plan on running just a brushed 55T,65T or 75T motor....

Probably one of the best "cheap" options out there.....Castle Sidewinder

The Sidewinders are inexpensive and they've got enough options and beef to hang with the best of them.

Going through the same thing at the moment too, and have read on the CC01 forum here at RCC that Kaetwo and blackfoot are running the Losi MRC ESC's they have a drag brake and no reverse delay and can be had for 15 - 30 2nd hand ! They are worth a try

Id stay away from the RC4WD electronics if i were you, due to personal experiences with them.... Although if you dont mind some glitching (unless they finally fixed them) the rc4wd esc worked good, drag brake was awesome, no reverse delay. 8.4v Limit if i remember correctly but i ran mine on 3s with a 55t and it ran like a champ (except for the glitchyness)(yes it glitched before i ran 3s on it)

Just my .01

well, I just scored a Losi MRC unit new for $25 shipped so now just have to wait for it to ship and show... so, basically upgrade to a heavier wire for the motor and battery leads and no issues? for teh time being was planning on running the Tamiya silvercan stock unit as the run time is eternal with them

We offer factory remanufactured crawling products which carry a full 120 day warranty, just like our new items, A Rmf Goat Crawler 18.5 brushless combo is 130.00 and a Rmf Rooster Crawler esc is $69.00.

I'm not sure if the MRC ESC will handle a silvercan. I put a better ESC in my MRC pretty much right away and I've not really messed with the stock ESC, but the ESC in my mini LST thermaled constantly. I couldn't get 1 minute of drive time with the 2 380 motors it came with, and this was a well known issue. That ESC looks identical to the MRC ESC, i'd guess the only difference is the programming. That said, they work well in a MRC, I'd just guess a 540 motor is too much for it.
