| using 7.2 volts on a 6.0 volt servo
Will using a Team Orion Rocket Pack Plus 3900 7.2 volt stick pack hurt a Hitec HS-645MG servo rated at 4.8 volts or 6.0 volts? Thanks

I'm assuming your running the batt to your esc and then pluggin the servo into the esc??? What ESC?? Alot of esc's have an internal BEC that will regulate the voltage to 6V. |

yes it is hooked up that way, and the esc is a Team Losi 12turn reversible model # MSC12RB, can you tell me if it has that feature you mentioned. Thanks

if your running the power threw the ESC it will be regulated and your 7.2volt pack wont cook your 645mg servo..

well your battery is hooked to the ESC, so is the motor and receiver, and the servo to the reciver,.. the battery sends its power to the ESC, at this point it is ready to be sent to the motor, the RX/servo or both when you give the input to do so, .. the ESC will regulate the power that is sent to the the servo via the internal BEC (batery eliminator circut) this prevents sending to much power to the servo most are 6volts 3-5amps depending on the ESC

I've never ran anything from Losi so I'm not sure about their esc's. I did a quick google and the few that I looked at had internal BEC's. Do you have the manual for the esc? Can you look up your specific model on Losi's site and see if it mentions a bec. If it does it will say something to the effect of voltage regulated to 5.0V or 6.0V or whatever it may be. Since all 6 pack stick nimh are 7.2 volts I'm thinking you'll be just fine. |

The manual states: BEC voltage 4.8 VDC, 1 Amp Max. what does VDC stand for?

| http://www.losi.com/Products/Feature...rodId=LOSB9520 here is your ESC, it will handle the 645 just fine. but you will need an external BEC if you want to run a more powerfull servo in the future... maybe even one with the 645 if you find it stalls out in a bind VDC = voltage direct current |
