| MX3 With Punk Dig
Ive looked everywhere to find the info but cant seem to find it, Can anyone help???? Ive got an Airtronics MX3 FHSS Radio that I need to Mod For a Punk Dig Switch on my new Berg build. Does anyone know the steps to perform this Mod or a thread for this specific application? This is the only thing stopping the build. Any help is truly appreciated!!! |

I did a little more research and yes it will work. Since the mx3 can be set for a 3 position. I would use the spring loaded toggle so you can just release and gain power from both motors. good luck man.

I thought I read some where on here that the 2.4 ghz version of the MX3 uses different circuitry (computer controlled) for controlling the 3rd channel so a 3 psoition switch mod cant be done.

you are right that it may not work bc i recently tried to do a 3 pos switch mod on a 2.4 radio on mine to replace a knob and it only had 2 pos work, the outside positions, no center

There may be another way. I ran my mx-3 with my berg with f/r dig but with switches by setting the servo horn in the center and activating each dig by toggling the 3rd channel for one dig and reversing the auxilary direction for the other dig. It may not work with the punk rc switch but it's worth a try before you open up the guts of the radio to put another switch. Hope this helps Last edited by rc4x4crawler; 08-13-2009 at 01:02 PM. |

I realy apreciate all the input guys. I guess im going to bite the bullet and do what i should have from the beginning and spend the $$$$$ on a DX3S. It sucks because all my trucks are using the Airtronics recievers. Oh well, What the hell. The addiction continues!!!! |

I was driving kikcaffienes crawler. He has a Losi LCC with front and rear dig. He figured out how to do it, the radio is now passed on to ColbyTheKid. PM Kikcaffiene and ask him how he did it.
