Default n00b Style Question

I searched and couldn't really find the answer.

I run Bergs. Doesn't one motor spin clockwise and one counter-clockwise?

Which is the normal direction in an RC motor, clockwise or counter-clockwise?

Which axle gets clockwise and which gets counter-clockwise on a Berg.

I'm so n00bish today it hurts. Wanted to do some break in and testing of motors before I remove the ones in the working Berg.

Hook them up, if one of them runs backwards....flip the wires around

the front spins forward, and the rear spins backwards. all the motors have a "+" sign on the endbell. i always have to rotate the rear motor endbell 180* so i can wire it up according to the markings. its just one of those weird things that bothers me.

There is no normal direction of the rotation on a motor, yes it has plus and minus...but it doesn't care what direction it spins.

Yeah, all RC motors except the old ones for the matched pair for the CLOD back in the day all turn 1 direction. That I knew, just didn't know which way that was.

This is especially true in 27T stock motors. They have fixed timing so just swapping wires would make it Advanced timing one way, and retarded the other...obviously there is a standard.

But big thanks to Nabil, well all of you. I was too lazy just to hook it up.

Yea you noob............lol

Normal or intended direction is clockwise when looking at the endbell..........especialy with the stock 27t motors.

Berg- front turns clockwise and the rear is counterclockwise. Some rotate the endbell on the rear motor 180* and others just solder the + on the - and the - on the + .

Just a sugestion is to rotate the endbell on your rear motor. Doing this, there wont be any confusion when you have the motors out doing maintence. During break-in you hook them up like your supposed to and they will turn in the direction they will in your crawler. Just make sure you get the rear motor back in the rear.......
