A Land Rover 3 RTR? I've never heard of that... As for answering your question...what are the other electronics you will be running? Specifically what motor and batter? That will help determine the ESC you'll need.

Well, as long as the battery doesnt exceed more voltage than a 3S lipo, your best bet would probably be the Castle Creations Sidewinder. I have quite a few of these ESCs and they have never let me down... BTW, sure, post up some pics and vids!

It looks like it flexes nicely. Any more and you'd need to either trim the fenders or raise the body...

If you don't want all the bells and whissles Tekin makes a Rebel II that you can sometimes find for around 30 bucks on here for sale. Forward, reverse...no instant break and to get into reverse you have to double pump, big heatsink and good little "basher" esc. nice lookin rig, this one you buying off of someone..or is that you driving?

I have a traxxas waterproof that I could get rid of..its off a slash. Not a good crawler esc, but good for trails..search what the vidals are..see if they meet what you want...cells, etc....let me know.

nope, but you will need a 3 channel controler. make sure your 3rd channel is a 3 position..forward, neutral and then reverse...in, stop, and out (for the wench) after checking your 2nd vid post...its a pretty capable trail rig, wouldn't worry about the articulation...its just about perfect, I think. the ESC only allows voltage go to the receiver...you might want to run a different battery just for your wench..the signal will still come from your 3 channel radio though. your 3 channels are: steering (servo) throttle (esc) wench (not quite sure the kind, but seems like it works good). also get a radio that will grow with you..meaning it can handle more than one rig...Mine can handle 6 different rigs..kinda makes the purchase of a good radio worth the while...

They are a bit heavy, but will work perfectly! We ran them for years before the Axial tranny came out...
