Default highlift motor

sorry if this is the wrong spot guys but i think my stoc highlift motor is going bad and i figured that since im going to have to replace it i should go ahead and upgrade but problem is that i know nothing about motors i know the less turns there is give you more torque but i dont really want only torque i want some speed as well some of my buddys said that the stoc highlift motor is like a 27t wich is good but i want something with a little more power and speed im planing on using the truck for trails mostly mud and some rocks but i would rather have more torque than speed cuz i dont want to get stuck plus i like to sometimes rockcrawl so overall should i just a 27t or like 30t and also if you have say a 30t motor wich would give you more speed could you get more torque out of it with a different pinion

so basically im asking what would be a good motor for a stock highlift when i mostly run in mud and sometimes rocks

also would it make a differance who makes it say for example tamiya or like hpi if they were both 27t would the hpi be better

i know im confusing sorry guys but any help would be appreciated

get a 35T motor, a good esc with capability of a lipo and put a 3S 2000 mAh battery....will have plenty of torque and when needed....SPEED!!!

don't forget the rc4wd mudders......

I have a 35T and use a 7cell....lots of wheel speed when needed.

Sure that Traxxas will work for now...so will that Venom 55T.

If I remember right, this is going in a Highlift...so no "rock crawling" just trail?? correct..if so the traxxas will work for you. Not very good brakes, but that's ok...and yes you will hit around 5mph if that's what your going for. That's about a walk pace..mine is at a jog pace.

that help??? totaly understand on the budget thing...check out the forsale here, sometimes things come up at a really good deal....
