You'll find lots of options for a basic 2S lipo, just about anything works decent in a crawler if you're not using high zooting motors and servos. Thunder Power stuff will give you "awesome" performance though. I'm sure any of the RCC vendors will do you just fine as well. Charger's you'll get lots of different opinions. I'm personally a very big fan of the Duratrax Onyx 230, we sell a lot of these at our hobby shop and they work really well. it's a $80 AC/DC Charger that can do 2-3S, and up to 7 amp charge rate. Has a safety timer lock out feature in case you're unsure of the state of a battery, and has all the good low voltage safety stuff as well. 10 model memory so if you happen to have multiple types of packs, you can set a model for each and not have to Reset the charger between packs. |

do i need to be concerned that the 230 doesnt have a balancer for lipo? is that that important. also, what about cut-low voltage off built into any lipo's? do i really need to worry w/ that? looked at the thunder options to get the balancer and will go up to 6 cell lip: http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html ? The Lipo cutoff is not in the lipo it's a function in your esc. You need to upgrade your esc to a unit with lipo capabilitys. And just to throw it out there the Hyperion 0606i is an awesome AC/DC charger and can be had for around 130 new.
