Default dx6 dix end point problems

im using a dx6 for my crawler project. Ive decided to use the gear channel (top left 2pos. switch) for the dig but cant seem to set the end points to the proper alignment for my r2d and burned up a servo!!! Ive read throught the manual but am confused. any link or help would be great. thanx

push both the "scroll" and "increase" buttons up simultaniously after turning on the radio. Scroll through the screen until you see travel adjustment. Choose the channel and adjust by "increase, decrease".
