Default lipo wont charge above 1amp?

hey guys i picked up a used flightpower 6s 3700mah 25c battery for my 1/8 buggy. i ran what was left of it out and when i went to recharge it/balance it, my charger wont do it, it keeps saying "break down" (racers edge surecharge 2000) but it charged an identical battery just fine at 3.7. any ideas why it will charge at 1 amp just fine but nothing higher?

WHat's the charger manual say "break down" means?

Does the charger "still" charge this other identical battery fine??
If so, something is obviously wrong with the battery. Maybe one bad cell, or a bad connection at the plug or balance plug?????

connection break usually refers to the main charge lead. I would look to it for bad/broken connection. I'm not quite clear though, what is it doing? charging , but not over 1 amp on a certain battery? or not charge at all?
