| Charger recommendations
I'd like some recommendations on a good charger, preferably from people who own them. Currently I've got nicads but would like a charger that will charge nimh and lipos in the future. I've also seen chargers which will charge two batt's at once which seems like a great feature. |

Thanks for the advice. Where would be a good place to buy it? I'm looking at the hobbico accucycle, it can charge two batts at a time and any type. Any opinion on this model? |

I see tower lists the venom pro at the same price as the hobbico but it doesn't say if the venom can charge two at once. I should mention I'd like it to be AC/DC. |

Thunder AC6 is a very good charger for its price, 55 bucks. Im using it for my VX lipos and nimh for a month now and it performs very well.

The FMA Cellpro line is great and made in the USA. The 4s multi will do all chemistries and the 10s does multiple lipos but does not do Nimh at this time. |

I've had this one for about a month and love it. It'll charge pretty much everything plus it comes with a case and is ac/dc http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Aluminum-Case |

Myself and a few others in my club run the Venom pros and they work like champs. They don't charge two batts at once though. I did see some where that there is a new Venom charger that is blue instead of green. Not sure of the new features on it though. Tried looking at Venom's site just now and it's down for maintence. |

Thanks for all the info. Is it worth looking for a charger that will charge 2 batts at once? It would cut down on downtime |

Get this charger http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html or the T6 which is the same thing but with an external powersupply and internal fan. The t6 is the same as the venom pro which i have. my friends have the ac6 and they work well with a great price tag! There are more expensive chargers out there that are amazing and charge 2 batts at once but it all comes down to what you wanna spend. If i hadnt bought the venom pro already, i would have saved some $$ and bought one of the ones ive listed above |

Another question, how much current should a charger be able to supply? I see some chargers charge up to 5A, some less and some more. Is 5A enough or would it be better to find something with more current? 5 amps sounds like plenty of current to me |

5amps would cover a 5000mah battery. I have a 5000mah lipo for my sc10 so yes 5amps does come in handy |

Hippie, that's exactly what I was hoping for...unfortunately it's way out of my budget. Maybe I'll consider the cheaper chargers for now and wait until I get lipos to get a better charger. |
