whats the dif. between a 55t and a 55t hand wound lathe turned motor and which one is better?

Handwounds are usually considered better motors. It means that the wire was actually wound around the armature/stator by hand rather than by a machine (machinewound). I personally don't see it as being such a huge advantage with a slow lathe motor; not enough to justify the higher price anyway.

on a 55t you may not notice much difference but on say a 35t its more noticable. i have a hh 35t and its better and is smoother than my old integy 35. imo on the 35 it was worth the extra price
