Default servo overheating fast help

wtf is going on my dig servo is cooking anyone know why

i got a ccbec(6v) wired into the rx like the insructions tell you too
and my dig servo is overheatting in like 1 min or less
the dig servo is a hitec 925mg
i have a vp dig
a traxxas tq3 radio
a traxxas rx
a novack rooster crawler esc and i am running a 1500mah split pack
the pack had a fresh charge on it
i also have a 645mg sterring servo

the dig servo vibrates a little when it is ingaged into 4x4 it does not move just feels like it is running

what to do

Sounds like an EPA problem. The servo is trying to move the shifter linkage farther than mechanically possible and the strain it's putting on itself by doing so is causing it to overheat.

Edit:
Just realised you have a TQ3. The TQ3 can be modified with EPA pots. It's a sticky at the top of the electronics forum:

Just put a spring on the engaged direction of the dig. Takes the pressure off the servo. Just like a two speed emaxx tranny, but you only need a spring on the engaging direction. Disengage can be direct.

I had one on a tq3/futaba s3003/r2d. Worked fine. Easier than moding the tq3 and works with any radio.
