Default EOS 060i and new battery

Hey guys, so I need some info/help with this new battery I just bought from HobbyPeople. It is an Impulse 3S LiPo 2100 mah but when I am plugging it into my eos charger it keeps giving me this reading (for each cell). It then says that the batteries were overcharged and it will not allow me to discharge and balance it. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any explanation about this in the owners manual. Should I just take it back to HobbyPeople and tell them to deal with it? Any suggestions?

Have you tried running it down manually? If you are worried about it and can spare the downtime, then I'd return it. I cant believe that they sent you a fully charged battery...

Its true. Believe it or not I bought these batteries 4 or 5 months back when they were having a great sale. But since I never had a LiPo charger and I already had 3 NIMH batteries, I never ran them.... until I just got the hyperion. I will run the pack down and see if I can charge it. Thanks!!!

it is probably an improper balance harness connection. What harness are you using to plug it to the charger?

If it were really 5v it would be on fire.

This is the battery I bought a while back. I actually bought two of them, the second one was perfect, balanced and charged in 20 minutes. It uses the eos-TP harness (the 4 prong 3S one).

And you are using the TP adapter with the charger?

Yes sir, thanks to a friend that happened to have the TP adapter.

On a side note, I'm quite annoyed with the fact that on the Hyperion owners manual it says to use the HP adapter with that battery that I have, however my battery plug is different then the HP adapter plugs. Wish I would have known that before I bought ANOTHER HP adapter. Any chance you would want to trade an HP adapter for a TP adapter JRH . Its still new and in the Hyperion package

I have plenty of hp adapters

That one cell is a problem. Is it not puffy?

Nope, the pack looks perfect. Sounds like it might be wise for me to just take it back. The last thing I need is for it to fry my other electronics and then I be really SOL because they won't warranty anything but the battery.

Better safe then sorry as my grandpa always said...
