Default Dual ESC..3ch or 4ch?

What can you do on a dual ESC setup on a 4pk that cant do on a 3PKs?

I was thinking about trying it out eventually, but I only have a 3PKs.

Check out the 4PK tips thread. I have posted a couple videos showing what they both can do.

The only major thing is the way you have to control independant rear dig with the 3PKs. Other than than you are pretty much the same.

Rear dig sucks with a 3pk. Otherwise it's about the same except you can only control rear mix %.

How does it suck I'm using a 3pk on my twin esc berg with the throttle mixed with the 3rd channel and it works great. I set 1 of the buttons to turn the mixer on and off.

I also setup the 2 esc's on 2 different throttle curves, and I can adjust the front esc's expo on the fly off the dial or a switch to give me more front drive or match the rear.

I tried using a DX6 and I'm doing way better this way.

How do turn the front axle off and control the rear axle with the trigger? (rear dig)

The way it's setup when I turn the mixer off I have fwd (front dig), no input on the rear axle but the esc is on so is the drag brake.

Heres video of it, you can hear the controller beep when I hit the button to turn the mixer on and off.

I need to get a 4pk to get both front and rear dig. I want a 4pk but I've heard of some problem's with them.

So you don't even have rear dig. You can set a mix up with the wheel/rear axle and/or use a dial to control the rear axle. Neither works great. With the 4pk's 4th channel and dual mixing it is just a push button like your front dig.

A couple of people had problems with model memory getting erased but this was only a couple hundred radios and when they first come out. Otherwise there have been no problems what so ever.

Yes no rear dig, haven't really needed it. No I have the switch under the steering wheel to turn the rear axle on or off and it works great. The dail and 1 switch adjust expo on the front to give me more wheel speed to the front to pull me up inclines and not flip back or I can turn it down to match the rear wheels I really like what this does. I hope this makes sence.

Guys here keep telling me to not buy it, but the all think the DX3R is a better radio, and I like my 3pk so much more. They keep telling me of the receivers over heating, and 1 person at a race this year having the radio shut off and when it would come back on everything was erased, he aparently throw the radio in the garbage as he came off the drivers stand:?. Like I said I still want one.
