The mamba is top of cc line and really overkill for a crawler but super dependable. For me too big, too heavy & not enough drag brake. FXR

Having tried racing a Mamba Max in my B4 buggy, I wouldn't bother using one in a crawler, especially if you want a brushless motor. As oldhippie said, the drag brakes are too weak (no hill-hold brake at all!), and, in brushless mode, it cogs badly at low speed.
Get a purpose-built crawler ESC. I'm using a Novak Goat - much nicer to drive than the MM.

You can always bump up the drag brake on the CC MM anywhere from 0 - 100%, plus the MM is plug and play PC programmable. Not to say the Novaks aren't nice, but CC has it nailed for programming and all the adjustments make it more of a universal controller rather than a dedicated crawler ESC.

Read the manual for setup features. You have it set in reverse lockout mode.

Having a MM I'm not sold with the drag break either...but as far as a ESC that is top of the line...you bet, for a scaler its really nice...you can program it so much its scarry...

and yes, search.
