| servo wont throw a full 180degrees when powered.
i recently started to notice that my servo when powered will only throw left or right about 45 degrees off center left or right. even without weight on it. im running a castle bec set at 5.1v stock. through my rx. is it possible i need to run power directly through to my servo via connector or is something wrong with my servo? im running a hitech 645MG with a futaba rx and futaba t2ph tx. previously it would throw full lock to lock causing my tires to rub on my lower control arms but will barely throw to 1/2" from them.

That is normal. What did you change in your system?

You must've changed the geometry. Increase the servo travel (EPA) on your Tx (if it's a computer Tx), or use a longer servo arm.

I might be wronge, but most servos don't have 180* of throw. They usualy only have 90*, 45* each way. Some of the big power servos will advertise if they travel 180*. You can change the amount of travel on Hitec servos the the Hitec programmer, But the servo must be digital. Which means it would 4 numbers in the name of it. I hope this helps you in the future.

It sounds like the steering geometry was changed. See if your radio can give you more throw via EPA adjustment, and then you can tweak the servo arm length.

Most servos can turn past 180 but are not set to do it on normal transmitter signals. A servo stretcher will allow the servo to go past 180. http://www.rcdude.com/servlet/the-13...retcher/Detail |

No idea about the JR servos, but I think you need a Hitec 79xx servo and HPP-21 programmer. I don't think that you can change the resolution (to get more travel) with the 59xx servos. Best to check that the servo supports this feature before you buy.
