Default ax10 esc & tq3 ??

ok, so i have a stock axial esc on my lr3 project with a TQ3 tx/rx. When i plug everything in and hit the switch, only thing that happens is the light on the esc flashes from green to red, green to red, green to red, and so on. The power light on the tq3 rx then starts flashing as well. I just got the rx and put new batteries in it, so i dont THINK its that. Any body have/had this problem and how can i fix it??

Dunno about the ESC, but the flashing light on the TQ3 means the batteries are VERY low, I would start there... I am assuming when you say "rx" you mean "tx" (TX = Transmitter; RX = Receiver). Plus, Traxxas RXs don't have any lights.

you have to figure out how to plug in your servo and esc into rx the right way for instance the esc would go into 1 or 2 and if its pluged the right way in I went through this when i switched my tx/rx

all are new parts except the esc, but i just took it out of another crawler and it worked fine. The motor is an integy 75t hooked up with deans plugs. i think i may try and hook up my rooster tomorow and see if that works.

frisco -
Which traxxas rx do you have?

Does the servo respond at all?

If the esc worked fine in the crawler, it "should" work fine here.

It almost sounds like you flipped the connector on the RX.

Most connectors have the little notch to make sure it's lined up right, but I don't think the Axial ESC has the little notch...

that's gotta be what it is...

Even after I posted the above thread, I did it myself. I was moving the electronics on my scaler and put them the wrong way, and all the esc would do was flash red/green.

Flipped it the correct way, and it works fine.

Sooooo.....
Frisco, if you haven't already done so, flip the receiver connector on the receiver and it will work just fine.

1 to turn, 2 to burn. Black wires go to the outside of the reciever.
